Writing"Writing is thinking on paper." In third grade, students are going to be using writing to work through problems, communicate their ideas with teachers and peers, show their thinking, and tell stories. Third graders will be learning how to improve on essential writing skills throughout the entire course of the day. Writing instruction will be delivered in a practical approach that will allow students to understand how writing fits into their daily lives in the real world while still focusing on using the writing process and the 6+1 traits of writing. In addition to the units listed below, students will also be writing in the form of reflective journal entries during Microsociety.
